There is league action this weekend for most of our Youth teams with the exception of 1 team playing their Herts County Cup 2nd Round tie.

This weekend, if you take a trip to Sun-Postal Sports Club or Parmiters, you can witness 1 of 2 inter-club matches happening in the Hertfordshire Girls Football Partnership League.

Watford Ladies U11 Harts are in action away to Hitchin Belles looking to score as many, if not more than last week’s fine performance showed. The Under 11 Hornets are no different, hitting the net on more than a few occasions in their last outing and will look to keep that up against Denham United when they travel their this weekend.

These U11’s are getting to grips with how to score goals in their recent start to the non-competitive season.

The Under 12’s are at home to St Albans City Youth with Watford looking for some bitter sweet revenge after having to hand St Albans the win on the first day of the season without kicking a ball. Looks like this is going to be a tight but exciting game.

The U13 Harts and Hornets face each other in the first of the days inter-club league matches with the Hornets having the home advantage. This is also the battle of 1st vs 3rd in the HGFPL U13 Division One with The Harts looking to make up ground on the Hornets in the division who trail them by 6 points but do have the game in hand over the current leaders.

In the Under 15 Age group, the current Division One Leaders Watford Ladies U15 Hornets give the others the opportunity to make up ground in the league on them as they visit Harvesters U15 in the 2nd round of the Herts FA County Cup.

With the slightly later kick-off time of 11am at Sun-Postal Sports Club, Watford Ladies U15 Wasps travel to their own home ground to take on Watford Ladies U15 Harts in the 2nd of the days Inter-club League matches. This has been a friendly, but rivaled tie for as long as the teams existed and also is the highlight of the league calendar for all Wasps and Harts players, parents and supporters alike. With the Wasps leading the way in Division Two and yet to be beat, can the Harts be the first to sting the hopes of their club comrades?

On Sunday the Under 17 Wasps again fly north up the M1 to take on tabletoppers Bedwell Rangers Dragons. Dragons were 4-1 victors the last time these two teams met in the league and Watford will be looking to fight fire with fire as they seek sweet revenge.

Good luck to all our teams and C'MON YOU GOLDEN GIRLS!!
